Pringle Can - Plastic Lids.
Been meaning to post some of the 'freebie' cat toys that we use. Just havent gotten around to it until now sorry!
Tonight Storvenn, Loki & I will be reviewing the plastic lid from a can of pringles.
Availability: Most supermarkets, newsagents etc in the UK.
Cost = well.. technically free, but Id suggest buying a can of pringles instead of attempting to steal the lid from someone elses bin.
Product Quality: Lightweight, flexible, contains essential vitamins for your cats health. (ok.. it doesnt, but what else can I say about a plastic lid?!)
Product Description: Works amazingly well as a mini frisbee. Lightweight enough that it wont break anything. Your cats might as they chase it, but the frisbee wont. Chewable, and wont shatter into little bits under normal use. Easily carried in their jaws.
Useage: Throw like a frisbee and either a) be amazed as your cat leaps across the room with the grace of a thousand ninjas OR b) you walk across the room with the look of someone who just ate a whole can of pringles and whose cat couldnt care less about the plastic 'thingy' you just tossed to the far side of the room.
10/10 from our MC's.
Excuse the shakey video please. Its hard to film and throw...

Thanks for the kind words

Aye, thats Storvenn. He is definately growing, and just hit 7 months old. If he continues at this rate I think he is gonna be a big boy.

I wish I could say.." well we worked hard at learning this trick. Had a lot of hurdles to overcome but together we did it...".
In truth: errr.. a few days ago he started bringing balls back to me that Id thrown for him. Recognising that this was probably a one in a lifetime chance to teach him the value in bringing back stuff Id thrown, I made a huge fuss. The next day he did it again a few times and I again made a fuss.
Last night was frisbee time and I had treats in my pocket and it just 'happened' and we've been doing it since without any problems.
Coming soon... Another free cat toy exclusive: "Cat Tennis".

Thanks! We've had to reinforce the cat tree as they launch from it pretty hard
You can see the top shelf is made from a sheet of 'kitchen worktop' with a few towels stapled into it. Staples are in the underside.
I then put a section of threaded rod down through the worktop and into the top cat tree pillar. Its now rock solid, so much so that I can hang off the top shelf without it wobbling.

Ive added them to the shopping list along with more tin-foil

Did it take them long to learn to bring them back. Simba loves to chase things but doesn't seem to want to bring them back.
