Glad to see they're going through now. It depends on the recipients server response as to whether the sending server will continue to retry sending, as it was a temporary block it continued to retry until hotmail lifted the restriction.

How come this is taking so long to get sorted? This kind of problem is usually fixed by the email provider in less than 24 hours. And besides, hotmail never holds back on any email, even spam. That is why I like them. I like to choose what is spam myself. Do you want me to contact them?
What makes this even weirder is you are on your own server correct? I have seen sites on shared hosting lose their email when someone on the shared server spammed folks. But once again 24 hours is long enough to correct things.
I think I will contact Hotmail tonight. They are really ticking me off with this. I have used them for over 20 years without a single problem. Now this? Grr,...Last edited by candes; 22nd December 2011 at 05:44 PM.

They do reject sender if the sender is repeatedly sending spam, the server MCF is on has been under repeated attacks. Last one was 2 days ago, it may take up to 4 more days to fully be back to normal.
Its not just hotmail, yahoo have also blocked the server.
All I can do is apologise for the inconvenience of not receiving emails, its affecting other sites I host and preventing many new user registrations on this and other forums so I'm pretty p'd off too but there's only so much one can do against attacks, unfortunately its an ongoing constant occurance when you have a server online, the only way to be 100% safe is to be offline :-(Daddy to Hank. Geez I tried to email Hotmail before work today. Good luck finding an addresss or contact form. &%%&^$&^ Anyways I sent feedback for now. Since that is all I could find. Unless you did something Dave, the feedback seemed to work. I guess I will just keep spaming them until they get it right 100% of the time.
I could have just switched to my comcast address. But they pick and choose whose emails I get. That is why I never use comcast for anything important. Like I said hotmail usually lets us decide what is spam. This was very odd for Hotmail.....
