A waiting room full of cats

I had my younger dog Elsa spayed on Friday and tonight I had to take her to the vets to have a check up. While I was in the waiting room there were three other people there all with cats! I would normal sit well away from them but thought I'd see how Elsa was. So I sat among them (the cats were all in cages by the way). I was very pleased cos although she looked very interested - she just wanted to sniff them she was also wagging her tail and there was absolutely no aggression there. Being new to cats I wanted to ask lots of questions but as usual because Elsa is an unusual breed of dog I got all the questions and never got a chance to ask any back so I don't even know what type of cats they had in those baskets!. But I am very happy with her reaction.

That sounds promising Karen, you must be well chuffed knowing that Elsa seemed confortable around cats. Fingers crossed she'll be fine with the new kitty!

We have two Large Munsterlanders. Not sure how many there are in Australia but I know of one lady who owns one out there. They are HPR Gundogs - look a bit like a large springer but black and white with a predominantly black head. They are lovely fun loving dogs but need a lot of exercise which in this weather isn't much fun! In America you are only allowed to buy them if you are going to work them, they are not sold as pets which I think is a shame because they make lovely pets and love people.

To give you an idea of what sort of dogs they are - this is a music video I made of Maggie our first Munsterlander a couple of years ago:

It's a nice looking dog.... I googled it as I hadn't heard of that breed before.

She is a very pretty pup. And has a lot of spunk. Good thing you have a lot of yard space!

You know, she looks identical to a breed of dog common around here in PA. But I am terrible at breed names. Anyone have a clue? This will drive me nuts until I figure it out.
