back legs wobbly after neuter is this really normal

My pouncy boy was neutered yesterday and his back legs are really wobbly the vet said that it was probably due to the shot he had in his hip has
anyone ever experienced this? I have never had this problem with my other cats

Hope Pouncy has pounced back by now I would have thought it was more due to still being spaced out from his anaesthetic that he appeared wobbly wouldn't want that vet as my doc if he jabbed me in the buttock at a point where it could cause me problems especially as at that point the cat would have been a non moving target....
