Sorry that you have to wait longer but it's better to have them healthy before you pick them up. I totally know how it feels waiting for these cute munchkins. I've got to wait until next Thursday to pick ours up. Time seems to be ticking along veryyyyy slooooowwwww..LOL!!

I have had pet insurance before but it didn't pay off. In the end, I had paid more in premiums, than what I had used it for, KWIM? I think it really depends on whether the kittens will be indoor or outdoor. I would think you can buy the basic plan for an indoor and needing to buy something that will cover emerg. if they will be outdoor.

It's nice to have pet insurance for the peace of mind. I am thinking of getting the middle range for both Tequila and Maya. It depends on what is covered and how much it will cost for 2.

If it is just a cold, why the wait? Or are they just making certain it is really a cold? Perhaps a quarantine. Dunno...

The weekends are usually a better time to get a new family member. Oh well... I really feel for you having to wait.. All that pent up excitement. But monday still isn't that far away.

The person at the shelter told me that she just wanted the kittens to be recovered before giving them to us. I'm hoping it isn't anything - she says they are doing much better now.

After losing our last kitten to FELV, we are obviously paranoid about anything and everything.

Just praying they will be ok and healthy - my daughters have been through so much this past 3 months losing our last kitty.

Well....I don't know if they are right and they are a Maine Coon mix but they definitely have the fun personalities of a Maine Coon :-) On our drive home, both of them were lying on their backs begging for tummy rubs! haha

never had insurance for my moggie , but working at a referral hospital has made me realise just how high vets bills can be - i may only cover them for a couple of years but it does give me peace of mind that if anything were to happen to my babies money would not be an issue ... my one recomendation - life cover for anything they may get

I cover mine for the first year as you never know what could be lurking {two years in the case of last two babes because one had no sense of danger & I was sure a broken limb was going to occur} after that year I used to put the premiums away with fingers crossed that nothing happened & now the cats have their own little nest egg. I always feel sorry for people who come into work who have paid insurance all their animals life,never made a claim ,premiums going up every year quite highly when the animal hit that magic eightish mark & finally when in the last couple of years of their life the animal needs drugs to keep it comfortable by the time you have added up their monthly payments plus the extra excess you have to pay because of the animals age many people are out of pocket or just claiming a small amount back.
Someone worked out when they were hit with a £1500 pound bill with no insurance that at the age of the animal {plus he had two others} & taking into consideration the extra charges on the card they paid it off with they still had money in the pocket.Insurance is one of lifes gambles there are some that you can't do without & some....!!! Its what you feel most comfortable with. Agree with H&SWells make sure it is for life cover just in case & also be aware that if your animal is under treatment & you have a grievence with your animal insurance company don't get in a huff & change companies because the new one may not/will not cover for certain illnesses already claimed on by a previous insurer so make sure with the new company first,we have had several clients make that expensive mistake.
