    Lightbulb Weight comparison list

Ok now the lengths are diificult and very unscientific. But I am going to make a list of purebred (with papers) MC weights. The weights must be very accurate. You can give me multiple weights from different ages. I will update the list every once in a while. Please list the following:

    Name
    Sex
Age in months and weeks ( example: 0 months 2 weeks) - please round down
Weight - in american and metric kg- please also mention the method or if done ar a vets

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wicca 3 months 2 weeks 4.2 lbs 1.8 kg vets
Wicca 4 months 0 weeks 5.2 lbs 2.3 kg home
Teddy Bearz Male 4 months 0 weeks 6 lbs 1 oz 2.77 kg vet
Teddy Bearz Male 5 months 0 weeks 7 lbs 13 oz 3.6 kg vet
Teddy Bearz 5 months 3 weeks 8 pounds 8 oz 3.9 kg vet
Dexter Male 6 months 0 weeks 12 lbs 8 oz 5.67 kg vet

Hey thanx Bubbles, I thought my idea was gonna be a bust.

Wow your kitty is huge! If your cat was a moggle, they should weigh about 6 pounds right now. You got 2 kitties for the price of one. Any chance of a pic? I would love to see him! Actually, I am dying to see him!

OK, here goes. Weighing intervals vary from 4 to 6 weeks and all weighing was done at home.

    Monty, male
    • 14 weeks 2.2 kgs = 4.8 lbs
    • 18 weeks 2.9 kgs = 6.4 lbs
    • 22 weeks 3.6 kgs = 7.9 lbs
    • 26 weeks 4.3 kgs = 9.5 lbs
    • 30 weeks 4.8 kgs = 10.6 lbs
    • 36 weeks 5.5 kgs = 12.1 lbs
    • 40 weeks 6.0 kgs = 13.2 lbs

    Tatja, female
    • 14 weeks 1.8 kgs = 4.0 lbs
    • 20 weeks 2.7 kgs = 5.9 lbs
    • 24 weeks 3.5 kgs = 7.7 lbs
    • 28 weeks 4.0 kgs = 8.8 lbs (at this point the vet said she was getting overweight)
    • 34 weeks 4.3 kgs = 9.5 lbs
    • 40 weeks 4.6 kgs = 10.1 lbs
    • 44 weeks 4.8 kgs = 10.6 lbs

By comparison, Minnie the Mini-Coon, female
    • 14 weeks 1.6 kgs = 3.5 lbs
    • 18 weeks 2.3 kgs = 5.1 lbs
    • 24 weeks 3.0 kgs = 6.6 lbs
    • 30 weeks 3.5 kgs = 7.7 lbs
    • 34 weeks 3.9 kgs = 8.6 lbs

    Hi

My cats were weighed at the vets - on my scales they are heavier but here are the vets weights

    Sarah

    29 weeks = 3.6 KG / 7.9 lb
    32 weeks = 4.23 KG / 9.3 lb
    1 Yr 8 Months = 5.6 kg / 12.32 lb

    Zack

    13 W 1.6 kg / 3.52 lb
    18 W 2.67kg / 5.87 lb
    20 W 3.25kg / 7.15 lb
    22 W 3.6 kg/ 7.92lb
    24 W 3.8kg / 8.36lb
    26 W 4kg / 8.8 lb
    28W 4.31kg / 9.48lb
    30W 4.55kg / 10lb
    35W 4.83kg / 10.62 lb
    40W 5.35kg / 11.77 lb
    45 W 6.10kg / 13.42 lb

Zack seems light compared to some of the other Maine Coon boys!!!

Can you all help me out by editing your posts? Can you add the metric or american conversions? It is too many for me to convert. I figured it would be nice to list both since we are a "mixed nationality" forum. And also list if home scale or vet scale was used? Here is a converter.

    OK, done it.
But I do wish you people across the pond would come out of the 19th century and start using metrics...

At the last visit to the vet, Marquis weighed in at 8.9 kg, he is 2 1/2 years old.
I suspect that he has gained a bit since though...

The vet told me he was a bit overweight, but i disagree...he is just a bit big
