Thanx everyone! I have much "parental" pride right now. LOL....
Right now I am home from the evening shift at work. Teddy just ate spinach artichoke dip after eating 1/2 can of a big can of science diet. He especially likes the artichoke chunks. Who would think... Oh no, don't lick the lid... What a little porkie. LOL....
Right now he is on a big game hunt with a fake mouse. Soo much energy blown on a fake mousie... LOL....
And we are working on supervised visitation with the big kitties. Nala, my mommies girl, is not very thrilled. Nala was always the baby, and still acts like it, and she is ten! Anyways she is punishing me with the cold shoulder, nose up in the air and all. Teddy Bearz (the new baby) is even doing his submission part, but she will have no part of it. He inches closer and closer and lays on his back each time. Obviously, this will take more time.
Kitty behavior amazes me. My 2 older kitties both lay about 8 feet away. And trade glances with each other and the new baby. They are in cohorts with each other. This is a good thing. It is about time they become a team. LOL...Last edited by candes; 21st August 2010 at 07:14 AM.

Well it looks like Cleo gave in first. He ain't playing with the baby yet, but resigned to life as usual. Although he cheerfully likes to watch Teddy play with much interest. I think he likes him.
Oh, but he did leave his mark in the babies litter pan. LOL... Nala is a tiny bit better and watches him from just a few feet away, a lot. Teddy B is very friendly, so it will all work out in the end.
Teddy is showing his Maine Coon colors more every day. Today he started trilling. And although he has always taken to water, he is now standing in, and imersing his feet entirely in his water dish. He is often quite soggy. He also likes to put his toys in his water dish. Even his expensive, movement activated, electronic squeeking mouse. &*%*$% LOL.... And he loves playing in the wet bathtub.
Everytime Teddy B sees my face after even a minutes lapse, he gives me many loving hellos. I still can't get over his darling lion cub meow. So unique! And his nickname has been chosen. It is loverboy.
Yipee!!! Nala just jumped on her blanket in my computer center. And is loving me to death. Life is getting back to normal. Even better yet? Teddy just ran up to us and Nala kissed him! Now it looks like I will have 2 drooling
assistant keyboard typists.

Sorry to double post. But this keeps getting better. Ol "loverboy" now has a strong following. Cleo has only loved one pet in our house. Our now deceased akita chow dog. And he is quite taken by Teddy. Now Cleo is the one inching up with kneading paws. This is going fast and even better than I imagined. And Teddy even "tried" to nurse off of Nala. And she tolerated it. vbgfffffffffffffffffffhjum, (This is what Teddy had to type about this, for real. I guess he can't spell yet. LOL....)
Teddy Bearz has the most darling meow that just melts your heart. He does this nonstop. At the end of the video, he jumped up to my other side and serenaded me some more. The again and again...

BEAUTIFUL kitty cat!!
It's so wonderful when they finally come home, isn't it? We've had ours just over a week now.
Maybe it's just that I don't have a whole lot of experience with them, but it seems to me that Maine Coons adapt to new environments much quicker than most cats.
So neat that he's already learned his name. Ours are still in that stage of figuring out that someone is calling them in the first place.
Congrats on the new arrival! :D
