Maine Coon Cat Calender
Anyone else get a yearly calender featuring our favorite feline?
I just got the Brown Trout 2012 Maine Coon Cat Calender in the mail, I try not to peek ahead of time, I like to wait each month and unveil the picture of that months cat.

I too have been disappointed with some of their recent calenders.
They've been using too many pictures of kittens and many of the kitten are so young the Maine Coon traits aren't apparent, If I wanted kittens there are plenty of kitten only calenders available.
I like pictures of Big Burly Males Maine Coons and Luxuriously Beautiful Female Maine Coons and some of the pictures in recent years just weren't up snuff.

Me too, I've the same one and also sent one to Jackie as 'January' looks just like her Pansy Potter. Only disappoinment is that the facts on the calendar are more about cats in general than the breed, and they name of the cat featured is not given.

Yep, I have it in my office and enjoy seeing a new feline face every month. Last year's calendar was not as good as 2012.
I am glad there are more typical coonies in a new calendar.
If we collect all pictures from our Gallery we can make calendar for every hour of the year.
I would never get tired seeing maincoons.

Yup, I have the same one sitting right in front of me. This is my very first Maine Coon calender. I was very excited to flip through the pages to see the felines. But a couple dissappointed me. Not that they were not cute kitties, they just didn't do it for me KWIM? So when we get to those months, I will be tacking a big collage of pictures of our furkids on top.
I was thinking of making my own MC calender with our own furkids featuring every month. They both can have 5 months each and they can share 2 months together.... Geez, that sounds like a fabulous idea for my dh's Christmas present from the furkids. I better get crackin' on taking some quality photos. Mind ya, I did get a new camera for Christmas so I don't have to try too hard.

Why not mke your own from the pictures here? I can remember having a calender maker with my first ever computer in 1990. So I know the software exists.
Now that I just peeked at all my old software, I have tons of older calender making software programs. You likely could find something laying around and try it in compatability mode if it is older. I also wonder if there is something on CNET? Haven't got burned in all the 2 decades that I have gotten free software from there.

Just flip over to February on my "Brown Trout 2012 Maine Coon Cat" Calender and I'm rather disappointed.
While the cat is a very lovely Tortie, the picture doesn't show off her Main Coon Cat traits, if it wasn't a MCC calender I'd just regard her as a DLH.
When I think of Maine Coon Cat I think of big burly Boys with a mischievous gleam in their eyes, I also think gorgeous Girls who are aware of their great beauty but aren't stuck up about it.
When they do picture kittens I like them to be half grown and all ears and paws so there's no mistaking that this is a Maine Coon Cat.
