Hi all, I wondered if anyone has any advice for dealing with seroma's? I had to take Freyja back to the vets tonight - I've been checking her stitches daily since she was Spayed last week and everything's been fine; she's not fussed with them, and has barely noticed they're there. But when I checked her tonight she had quite a large lump right under the wound, about 1-1.5cm high, 2cm wide and it ran the length of the scar. She didn't seem at all perturbed by it and is her normal crazy self but it obviously alarmed me. The vet explained it was a seroma and drained 3-4mls of fluid from it and she needs to go back in 4 days to have it re-checked. It's already starting to swell up again, although no bruising, weeping or bleeding. The advice the vet gave me was to keep her quite but had no suggestions for how I'm supposed to do that to a rambunctious MC kitten with more energy than EDF, so I'm a bit stuck.
If anyone's got any suggestions that might speed up the healing process, or quiet an energetic kitten, I would be most grateful. I've read up on seroma and it sounds like it could get quite serious if it's not sorted. Thanks.
