Oh and one more thing. For some strange reason Teddies gingivitis responded to Lysine. And I have actually even read of some cases of suspected viral gingivitis. But hey, what ever the cause, it seemed to help at a dose of 2 Vetri-Lysine Plus chews a day. Teddy thinks they are candy, so if you try them, hide the bag.
Did your cats ever by chance have conjunctivitis at all? Just curious.... The thing is one cats viral gingivitis could be anothers immune mediated gingivitis.

The tooth brushing kit is next to me on the table. Going to start them on having just my finger in their mouths this week...

Oh and a big warning. Do not use a toothbrush on raw gums. Nor alcohol based dental rinses either. You know peter, it will be a constant struggle during their teething period. Constant worry too.... What you do now can make or break your cats future dental health. Don't be hesitant to take them in for antibiotics if their gums start looking worse. Check them every other day. Right now I check Teddies twice a week, You loose ground, and it is difficult to get back on your feet. Extreme diligence! I really feel for you and your babies. Sigh....
