Gallery issue

I can't upload pics from my computer to the gallery. It comes up with this message

the file that you have tried to attach is too big. The maximum size is 2097152 bytes.

Any help??

Since the changeover I have had problems uploading, I now have to go through a very long winded process to get there,so much so that it has to be writteh down step by step for me otherwise I would never remember it,hopefully one of our clever computer buffs on here will be able to help you,I am sure they will...x

If you have photo editing software, you can just resample a pic smaller until it will upload here. Just change the larger of the 2 picture sides. And check the maintain aspect ratio box. This will automatically make the smaller side proportionate. It may take quite a few trials to get your magic number for your camera setting. But once you do find it, remember it.

For example, if it is 54 X 36 inches , change the 56 to a 46. (Yes my magic number is 46.) And the aspect ratio box will make the smaller side automatically 31 inches.

Not from the US? Then use pixels or centimeters. Centimeters would give you an easier number to remember.

Now stupid me, I increased the resolution on my camera. So had to find a new magic number.
