This might be sort of off topic but what about the tuna in the canned wet cat food? Tequila and Maya love the Avoderm Tuna and Crab. Can too much of this be harmful? I've read that too much 'fish' is not good for them. Can someone confirm?

I have been trying to avoid wet food with Tuna in it but everything out there has tuna or some sorta fish. Tequila is getting finicky now.

Avoderm tests for mercury. Yeah too much tuna is still not good for urinary health. But try telling that to my allergic and super picky Teddy Bearz. I practice tough love with him. He has to get at least 50% of some other sort of canned food. No eat, no dinner. I can't help it he has allergies. He does eat a lot of chicken kibble, which is good. Although I prefer a moderate amount of kibble vs a lot. So what I am saying is find a good chicken kibble they will eat. All 4 of my cats will eat "Before Grain" chicken kibble. Now that is awesome! I think Orijen has chicken also.

Every cat in my house has a differnt diet. And someone is always giving me heck. Now it is Nala. %^&$$%&^^#

Oh my, I have been going through so many cans of wet food trying to figure out who likes what. I manage to write it down but do you think I bring the darn list with me to the store? Nope. It's a guessing game.

I've got Forest, senior Manx that is picky what she eats now. She only eats Wellness minced tuna, BFF tuna and salmon, Blue Buffalo Spa Select Seafood and Salmon. Then there is Maya, she will eat anything put in front of her, she's now Miss Piggy.
Then there is Tequila. Oh Tequila. Mr.Picky. He will eat Royal Canin (not the best), Avoderm Tuna and crab, and Weruva Chicken in Gravy and Weruva Chicken and chicken liver. It seems like he won't touch much of the pate style of food.

I have tried to find a dry food for them with bigger kibble. Tequila swallows his kibble if small and then upchucks it. I need a kibble that is big that he needs to chew before swallowing. Is Before Grain kibble large size?

Nope small pieces like the wellness. I know, I want the big chunks also. Natures variety is larger But I don't like the raw rabbit spray coating (their rabbit is from another country too) on it.

I suspect Ms Sasha will eat crap if you put it in a bowl. But as for the rest of the crew, I am on my last nerve... Sounds like you are having fun also. I like the, Before Grain since it keeps all 4 on the same kibble at least.

Funny how Tequila and Teddy are both non pate dudes that like tuna a bit too much. Never heard of Wererva, but see it is local. Just may check it out... You may also want to look at natural balance platefulls. My picky Teddy likes it most of the time.

Haha!! This whole who eats what gives me the chuckles. I just wish that I can give someone the open cans that they don't eat instead of chucking them out. I don't think the SPCA takes them open. Oh well.

Unfortunatly, I have Tequila on the RC Maine Coon kibble. He was on a mixture of that and RC kitten at the breeders. I've tried to change his kibble over slowly but he leaves the healthy stuff and leaves eats all the RC. When I don't put more RC into the bowl, he will begrudgingly swallow the good stuff whether it be Orijen, Wellness, or Natural Planet Organics. Not long after eating it, he starts throwing up. *bang head against wall*

Weruva is good. Their website gives you a look at all the flavors and what it actually looks like. It's not the best bang for your buck ($1.69 5.5oz in Canada) but the flavors Tiki and Maya eat looks good enough for us to consume. Anything for them.

I have seen the Natural balance Platefulls at the store just never actually picked any up. I will take a closer look when I go to the store.

You can return open cans and bags at many pet stores. Ask them and see. Petco sells Before Grain and has a return policy. Do you have Petco in Canada? That Weruva means going out of my way. Not sure what to do... The platefuls is the square chunks. You can mash it up pretty good if one doesn't eat it whole.

Why are the biggest males the pickiest?

There is a product called petite Cuisine at the pet store. Says it is all natural and is inexpensive. But I don't know about mercury testing. All petco seems to carry is the Seafood (Most have tuna, but not all. One is strictly snapper). Here is a video of it being made. Looks like they are just stuffing food into cans. PetPlayInc.com - FAQs--Natural Cat Food and Treat Boutique | Petite Cuisine Gourmet Cat Food Now this video bothers me since a few ladies are not wearing gloves. And once again, not made in the US. Just sent them an email about the sanitation concerns. Good enough for a human to eat, but no gloves?

That video is little bothersome. Hope they return your email.

Most times I buy their food in the US. I cross border shop at least once every 2 weeks. Not really convienient to bring it back to Petco.

I found Natural Balance Platefulls on sale for .69 cents a pack at Tisol. It seems like Tequila and Maya likes the chicken and chicken liver. If they like the other flavors, I will go back and stock up.
